Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the trainers work with partners to design and deliver all types of training required and train their existing trainers for new delivery methods. The trainers have access to the instructional designers to assist with the design. Training can include health and safety training, technical skills training, professional development, leadership training, essential skills, etc.




  • Liaise with partners to understand their needs for training their employees
  • Develop customized training to meet their needs
  • Provide train-the-trainer training
  • Deliver training for employees (virtually using the Brightspace learning management system) or other virtual means
  • Develop assessment tools to assess competencies




  • Minimum five years delivering training to adult learners, ideally in a college or other training provider
  • Experience designing training from scratch, working with construction companies and instructional designers
  • Experience creating meaningful assessment tools
  • Experience training existing trainers
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to ensure the company meets its required outcomes
  • Experience and knowledge of Ontario’s construction sector (preferred but not a requirement)




  • A post-secondary credential from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • A credential in adult-education principles from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Strong oral and written proficiency in English (French is an asset but not required for one position)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Motivated self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional focus on attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working from a home-based office and connecting virtually with team members
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
